Holiday Wreath Cards

These are a couple of my last holiday cards this season. I just love the wreath stamp in the “Wishing You Well” stamp set by Stampin’ Up!®

This first sample uses a few fun little elements. The Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper has been layered below the wreath. It is cut out and framed using the Layering Circle Framelits. These sets are wonderful (They come in Oval, Circle, and Square) and they are a wonderful value. The die sets have both regular and scalloped shapes that fit perfectly together for just beautiful layering. The bow was stamped and fussy cut and added with a Mini Stampin’s Dimensionals. The sentiment was cut and framed using the Layering Oval Framelits. Behind the sentiment the Sprig Punch has been used multiple times to add dimension.

With my second sample I have created a wreath using the same stamp set and I have chosen to stamp it directly onto the Wood Textures 6×6″ paper.

Red Rhinestones have been added to the wreath for a little extra detail. Isn’t it just perfect? This would be a great design to make lots of by using the Stamparatus Positioning Tool. (See Below)

Quick and Simple Cards ~ Wishing You Well By Stampin’ Up!®

Welcome back to my mid week post where I focus on CAS projects that can easily be completed in a quick craft session.

CAS is an abbreviation that stands for “Clean & Simple”. These projects have minimal layering and have less supplies used which make them easily created in a short amount of time.

This first sample, using the Wishing You Well stamp set, is a true CAS card, perfect for the beginner stamper. It only has 2 layers with simple stamping and no embellishments. Quick, Easy, but still very attractive. Envision this card created in every color of the rainbow and then packaged with a pretty bow wrapped around them. It would make an adorable gift for someone special.

This second card is a little more detailed and would be good for a casual crafter, but still would be considered CAS! I have added a embossed layer and a couple of die cut pieces to create a focal point for the beautiful stamping. Lastly the sentiment is stamped and easily cut out by using a punch. As you can see I have not added embellishments or ribbons or trims or even designer series papers, so I still consider this a CAS Card.

I hope these quick and easy designs inspire you to create something even during your crazy weeks. Creating CAS cards can be very relaxing and therapeutic even on our busiest days.

Check back each Wednesday for more CAS cards. If you have enjoyed these projects I would love for you to sign up for my email notifications. Just add your email address along the side bar of my blog and you will receive my posts in your email. Thank you for stopping by! Have an amazing day!

Tuesday’s Tip: Making your Specialty Paper Go Farther

We all are paper addicts and when you get the most beautiful paper you hate to cut into it. So why not use it wisely? For this sample today I have cut my card layer to fit behind my focal printed paper and then I used a couple of the Stampin’ Up!® punches to punch out pieces that I can use on future projects….Isn’t that neat? Nobody will ever know…. (smile)

My sample below is using the punched up layer behind the snowflake paper. This card is using the Wishing You Well stamp set by Stampin’ Up!® along with the Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper. I have also used a small bit of the 3/16th Braided Linen Trim to form a sweet little bow.

I hope you have enjoyed todays’s Tip and Project. If you have found it inspiring and would like to follow my work I would be honored to have you follow me by email. Just look along the side bar with more information. ((hugs))
