Melanie’s Monday Must-Haves ~ Making Christmas Bright

This week we will be playing with the “Making Christmas Bright” & the coordinating “Making Everyday Bright” stamp sets. These two stamp sets work together beautifully and come with a coordinating punch as well.

I always love bundles with a coordinating punch and this bundle has a coordinating year round stamp set “add on” as well. WIN/WIN! That is why I have chosen it as Monday’s Must-Have.

Here is today’s sample. It is a simple, yet striking card. I stamped the background with this amazing “lights” stamp and then colored them in with Stampin’ Write Markers. Then I created two banners using the banner punch. One if made with our new glimmer paper. It is a wonderful high quality glitter paper that does not have glitter falling off everywhere.

The focal die here comes from the Stitched Labels Framelits and it is one of my favorite sentiment dies. Below are all the products for this project for easy access to reading more about products on the website.

Happy Stampin’

Stamping with Stampin’ Write Markers

Welcome back…..

I have a quick tutorial today sharing how I created this two tone deer from the Dashing Deer Bundle. It is quite simple and can actually save you a lot of money if your wanting all the colors but not necessarily all the ink pads… hmmmmm

I am using the Stamparatus today with this technique. If you do not already have a Stamparatus you are going to LOVE IT! Consider it with your next purchase because it is simply AMAZING to work with.

Here is a quick graphic to show you what I have done. This technique can ONLY be done with Stampin’ Write Markers, NOT alcohol markers like our new Stampin’ Blends. So make sure your using the correct ones.

In this first photo I am inking the bottom portion of the deer with the Merry Merlot Marker. Just color directly on the stamp and then put your stamp to paper. The beauty of the Stamparatus here is if you for some reason do not get a good first impression you can simply do the step a second time. If you look closely at my inked image here. It is not completely colored so I did ink it twice.

Lastly clean the stamp and ink up just the antlers with the Early Espresso Stampin’ Write marker and stamp again. I have covered the bottom portion of my deer with scratch paper so I do not accidentally get the Early Espresso on the lower portion.

Here is the finished outcome up close… Isn’t he just beautiful?

I hope I have inspired you today and that you have enjoyed my projects. Have an awesome day! Melanie
