Two Projects using the Toil & Trouble Suite of Products by Stampin’ Up!

Hi Friends,

I hope you have enjoyed my focus for the week. I have really enjoyed prepping all the samples and material for this week. Next week we will continue our Halloween focus using another really fun bundle so make sure to “follow” me or sign up with your email so you get fun notifications when a new post goes live. Now for the FUN samples I have left so show you….. eeeek I am excited!

This sample here is showing off the amazing spider web die. I have cut it 4 times and by gluing them onto the paper it forms a full spider doily of sorts. I just love the Whisper White wed against the designer series paper. The witches hat here was cut out of the designer series paper using the coordinating dies.

Here is another fun project that I created to show off the suite. The background paper is the paper that coordinates with the witch hat die. The witch here is also cut out using the coordinating die. The cauldron is colored as seen in Wednesday’s tutorial. If you missed it I will add it here below just in case 😉

Here is a close up of the Cauldron in the project.

Are you nervous about trying Stampin’ Blends? You don’t have to be…. Stampin’ Up! has made it easy for you. Each color comes in a light and dark so they make blending a breeze. Still have questions? Message me, I will be happy to help.

Tips & Tutorials using Toil & Trouble Suite By Stampin’ Up!

Welcome back Friends,

Now I have to admit to all of you that Halloween is not a holiday I usually make cards for but when I broke into this bundle and began playing and I felt obligated to share this set with you. I wanted to continue making items….it was addictive for sure!  wouldn’t this suite be great for Halloween treats at school for elementary students?

I would like to share a fun tip and a tutorial today with all of you.

First up in the coordination that this bundle has with the Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper. Check this out….

The dies to this bundle coordinate with the papers…. The witch, witches hat (See Monday’s Post), the cauldron, the cat, the frog etc etc. Now how cool is that???

Speaking of Cauldrons… I have a quick coloring tutorial for all of you. I colored this cauldron step by step using Stampin’ Blends. These Alcohol markers are perfect for beginners. They have a light & dark shade for each color so there is no guess work as to which markers to use together.

I hope you have found this post useful. My hope is to inspire you to use your new products confidently. I am always just a message away if you need any crafty guidance. 😉

Stampin’ ® Blends Alcohol Markers ~ Tutorial

———————————————————-

I am excited to bring you my very first Stampin’ Blends video tutorial. The coloring we will be doing today is for these yummy flowers shown on today’s card.

Stampin’ Up!® Paper Measurements:

THICK Whisper White‘ A2 card base (4 1/4 x 11, scored in half)

Card stock in Calypso Coral  (2 3/4″ x 5 1/2″)

Green/silver foil paper from the Sweet Soiree Specialty Paper (2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″)

Rich Razzleberry card stock (3/4″ x 5 1/2″)

All supplies will be at the bottom of this blog post.

To see how I colored the flowers simply follow my step by step video tutorial above. I have included a lot of simple little tricks and given you my way of thinking as I decide on light and shadow when coloring with the Stampin’ Blend Markers ®

The sentiment along with this beautiful floral design that we color are both from the Petal Pallet Bundle shown below. I could create with this set everyday and never get board. It just gives so many possibilities.

In my heart this IS a MUST HAVE bundle. It includes 2 complete stamp sets including a really nice sentiment collection. Also don’t miss the add on dies as well. I used the sentiment window die and the “Best Wishes” sentiment from the bundle.

Here are some samples from the Stampin’ Up! ® catalog using the bundle and the other coordinating items available in the suite. I love the coordinating card stock. The samples show it also being colored with the Stampin’ Blends ®

I hope you have enjoyed today’s project and that you found the tutorial helpful. Leave me a message and let me know how you liked it.

If submitting an order online of $150 or less feel free to use March’s hostess  code FCNV6MBW.

Here is the BUNDLE you can get FREE with a $100 purchase by the end of March 2018

Blossoming Basket Clear-Mount Bundle

and here are some samples made by Stampin’ Up!® showing off this STUNNING set!

This first card that I designed is a simple card featuring the basket floral stamp from this FREE bundle. Using it this way is so classy as well as super easy.

To jazz it up a little I have embossed the card base with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Texture Embossing folder and added a few Rhinestone Basic Gems.

Oh where do I begin? This is an all time favorite card of mine. Beginning with the base card simply run the front of the card base through the Big Shot with this bundle’s FREE Basket Weave Embossing Folder.

I used a piece of of designer paper from the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper. Here is a picture of the full paper stack… This paper has so many possibilities and there is also a Daisy Stamp Set/Punch Bundle.

From a piece of Whisper White THICK cardstock, stamp your basket image with Momento Tuxedo Black ink. These two products are recommended when using Alcohol Markers like our Stampin’ Blends ®

I have used the following Stampin’ Blends® marker sets for this project.

Calypso Coral Combo Pack

Daffodil  Delight Combo Pack

Old Olive Combo Pack

Crumb Cake Combo Pack

After coloring the image it was die cut out using the Layered Oval Framelits. For the scalloped Daffodil Delight frame in the background I simply cut a scalloped oval and cut it down the center from top to bottom.

Peeking out there on the inside is a stamped basket from Calypso Coral Ink. This finished the card nicely.
