Friday Focal ~ Toile Christmas & Cardinals

Welcome back…. Today I have a fun focal image to inspire you with your next card design. I am using the Toile Christmas Stamp set and the coordinating Die Set by Stampin ‘ Up!

When I saw this photo I was amazed at how many colors of cardinals there are. I’ve always believed that if you spot a cardinal it is someone from heaven smiling down on you. Since I lost my mom recently when I saw this photo I knew I must design using it as inspiration. So I grabbed my Stamparatus and I stamped out numerous cardinals along with my Stampin’ Blends and I began coloring. Here is my result…

As you can see I got carried away with my stamping and coloring, coloring is my all time favorite skill…. haha!!! I have used Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Based Markers. Stampin’ Blends are so easy to use and are perfect for beginners who want to learn to color with light source. I have a few YouTube Videos sharing my love of coloring and I plan more in the future so please consider following my YouTube channel.

I spent a second night designing my cards using 4 of my colored images.

I have used the Stitched Rectangle dies got my layers with this card and the branches behind the cardinal along with the label dies are from the Beautiful Boughs die set.

This second sample uses the Feels Like Frost 6×6″ Paper  along with some Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon for a super quick card.

With this sample I used a really beautiful embossing folder named Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder along with 3/8″ metallic Edge Ribbon.

The die used for the opening came from the Birds & Branches Bundle

Last but not least is another quick and simple design. I have just used a piece of the stunning Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper

along with some twine and the Layering Ovals Die Set.

Stampin’ UP!® Blends Markers are HERE!

Welcome my friends,

This is my very first post to my Exclusive Stampin’ UP!® blog. I have been slowly working on this blog design for a while. A lot of you may have seen my posts over at and may be wondering why I am starting another blog? I want to separate my design team work with non Stampin’ Up!® companies from my Stampin Up!® work. I love both but I think it gets a little confusing for the reader. So will be 100% Stampin’ Up!® projects, promotions, and stamping fun.

A lot of you may be joining me from my other blog where I have mostly shared my work using Copic Marker Coloring. So it excites me to no end to begin this blog introducing you to the NEW Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers.

Stampin’ Up!® has just released the first collection of markers. We have 13 color families plus the color lifter. It is recommended that you use Stampin’ Up! Thick Whisper White Card Stock when coloring with these blendable markers. Here is a video brought to you by Stampin’ Up!®
