Lovely Lipstick Foil Paper… WOW!

Happy Valentine’s Day My Friends,

Today I am sharing my FAVORITE project of the week. I love the lush Foil paper intertwined with the neutral Crumb Cake paper. The mixture of the dies, punches, and lastly the embossing folders…. it is just so detailed and that is why it is my favorite.

The Lovely Lipstick Foil paper is actually a FREE item being offered while supplies last. It comes in a combo and is FREE with a $50 purchase.

The texture is what draws my eye to this project. The embossed Crumb Cake heart placed inside the larger stitched heart and then embellished with the detailed Linen Thread. I will list all products used below. I would love to know which project is your favorite this week….?

Beautiful Congratulations Card.

Today I am sharing with you a fun little technique I ended up doing to create this elegant Congratulations card perfect for any special occasion.

The background was created using the beautiful Tufted embossing folder #139673. To create the focal I did the following…

I first cut the blue stitched heart fro the Meant To Be bundle. I then cut 3 of the clustered hearts die and using the Tombow glue I carefully glued them down to cover the front of the heart.

Then turn the heart over and trim along the edges to remove the excess. This will result in a perfectly covered focal heart.

The sentiment uses the Congratulations stamp from the “Special Celebrations” stamp set # 143885 and perfectly fits the “Classic Label Punch” #141491. All the dies all came from the “Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies” which are part of the “Meant to Be Bundle #150587”. All supplies are listed below.

A Closer Look to the Meant to Be Bundle.

I have a very detailed video for you all today along with a CAS card for your mid week project.

This video really shows the details of this bundle, especially how they coordinate with last week’s bundle.

For my sample today I have chosen a clean and simple (CAS) card design. I try and do this each Wednesday for some simple mid week stamping.

A couple pieces of designer series paper (DSP) and a few die cuts and here you go. Easy Peasy but so darn cute!

I have used a Doily die cut from the “Dear Doily” bundle along with the Circle and Scallop dies from the Layering Circle Framelits. (A MUST HAVE #141705) The tiny heart and the sentiment are both from the Meant To Be bundle. Also for the papers… I have used a strip from the All My Love DSP along with a piece of Gingham Gala 6×6″ DSP pad. All items are linked below.

Happy Hump Day my friends!

Tuesday’s Tips!!

Welcome back my friends! Today my focus is on stretching the use of your precious dies. My Big shot and my always growing collection of dies are probably my two favorite things in my craft room. Below I will show you a trick or two when using the dies from your “Meant to Be” bundle #150587

I have a lot going on here in this card. I began by die cutting the cluster of hearts in both Flirty Flamingo as well as Lovely Lipstick. As I die cut them I began accumulating all these solid hearts on my desk so I decided to put them to work. But first I realized my background hearts were not going to stretch long enough to peak out from behind my focal hearts so here is what I did…

Easy fix…. just snip the hearts apart to make them stretch farther. I also added all the solid hearts into the background as well as seen here…

Aren’t these dies stunning??? Below I just show a close up of how the larger ones cut.

Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies #148527 (Just the Dies) or #150587 for the bundle.

The ribbon used here is from the All My Love Ribbon Combo Pack #148584

Just Paper & Ink…. Seriously!

Hi Friends,
Today I am going to share a little bit about one layer stamping can be fun and look a lot more work than it really is. When I say “One Layer Stamping” I am thinking “Just paper and ink”!!! nothing fancy but the stamping makes it look like it is more work than it actually is. Lets take a look at how I created today’s card.

Step One: Cut a piece of Whisper White Card Stock to 4″x5 1/4″ and using Merry Merlot ink to stamp your rose stamp from the Forever Lovely Bundle #150580. This is your darkest ink color used in those card.

Step 2: Using your Lovely Lipstick ink pad, stamp that same flower stamp afew more times leading into the center. My watermark above is where your sentiment is going to go so we just want to work on the left hand side.

Step 3: Closing the gap on the left side simply stamp a few more flowers in Flirty Flamingo ink. This technique can be done with almost any stamp but Stampin’ Up!®’s new DistINKtive stamps are perfect for this because they look so dimensional already due to there shading. (DistINKtive stamps are a new style of stamps that Stampin’ Up@ now carry. In one stamp you have varied light and dark areas. They are really fun to play with.

Here is the final ONE LAYER card. Super Simple and perfect for mailing because there are no embellishments 😉
