Melanie’s Must-Haves Monday ~ Spooky Sweets Bundle

Welcome back to Melanie’s must-haves Monday! This week we continue our two weeks full of Halloween fun. This week I am sharing the Spooky Sweets Bundle (#149973 clear mount or #149974 wood mount) The Bat Punch in this bundle is a MUST HAVE!!!  You can tell that I love this set because last week the bats kind of snuck their way into those projects. The two sets really work well together.

I had a little fun with the Trick or Tweet (#147722 clear mount or #147725 wood mount) stamp set which is perfect for coloring with Stampin’ Blends. Let me share more…

I have used the background stamp from this week’s bundle along with the bat punch. Then I added the doggie here from the Trick or Tweet stamp set and I colored him using Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Midweek Fun Fold ~ Simple Easel Card

Half way through the week….Have you been following along with my weekly posts? I would love to see some of your projects.

For this second card I am going to show you how to make a super simple easel card. I have made two varieties, one with more coloring that the other. Both are really striking!

Cutting & Scoring Measurements:

Base Card is 4 1/4″ x 11″ ~ Scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″ ~ Cherry Cobbler

Front Panel Frame 3″ x 4″ ~ Cherry Cobbler

Front Panel 2 3/4″ x  3 3/4″ ~ Whisper White

Designer Series Paper 4″ x 2 1/2″ ~ Cut 2 for front sections of the card.

Inside white panel 3 3/4″ x 5″ ~ Whisper White

Bottom Inside Stripe 1 1/4″ x 3 3/4″  ~ Cut Two and glue together ~ Cherry Cobbler

Bottom Inside Stripe of Designer Series Paper 1 x 3 1/2″

The first sample I made I decided to play with the Stampin’ Blends markers. I used Light and Dark Cherry Cobbler. and colored a few of the flowers on the Designer Series Paper. This paper is GORGEOUS!!!!!!

This was my second sample… I decided not to color onto the designer series paper. Instead I colored just the little stamped flower. I like how they both turned out and at class they will have a choice of coloring them or not.

Which design do you like better??? Leave me a comment!

Simple Midweek Project ~ Heartfelt Blooms

Welcome back to a Clean and Simple (CAS) Wednesday. Today’s project it so simple in yet it looks so difficult to create.

This stamp set is a new style from Stampin’ Up!® that gives all the depth of light and shadows all with one press of the stamp. The girls at this month’s card class HAD to have this set. This Heartfelt Blooms stamp set is FREE with a $50+ (expires March 31st) Here is the full stamps set below.

For the sentiment I used “Thinking of You” also from the Heartfelt Blooms Stamp Set. I used the “Tailored Tag Punch” and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. All the  sentiments from this FREE stamp set fit perfectly in this punch. I also added a few coordinating Tutti Fruiti Adhesive Backed Sequins.

Here is a quick pic of the inside of the card. I just love how beautiful this stamp is and how finished the card feels when I add a little coordinating stamping on the inside.

I hope you have enjoyed today’s midweek post. Check back Friday for a peek of my personal favorite FREE item from this years Sale A Bration Sale. You will not want to miss Friday’s post. Fantasy Week Stampin’ Up!® Style

Recently I met up with a couple of online crafting friends in Mississippi (Hi Susan & Donna… miss you ladies already!!!) for a wonderful 3 day crop. My focus was mostly on Stampin’ Up!® projects and I will be sharing projects made from both the Magical Day and Sunshine and Rainbows Stamp & Die bundles. For someone who loves fantasy as well as all things colorful these were my first two sets purchased from the Spring Occasions Catalog.

With this first sample I used the awesome dies with the Sunshine & Rainbow dies to create these clouds and rainbow. I just love how simple yet unique this is. The sentiment was from the same bundle.

This second project incorporates both of the featured sets this week. Using the cloud dies I created a shaped card by trimming the upper left corner of a right opening card. Then I was able to use the rainbow dies and clouds to connect it all together. This adorable unicorn and glitter washi tape came from the Magical Day Suite of products. Don’t these set work together nicely?

Check in with me on CLS Wednesday when I share a Clean & Simple card made from the designer series paper that coordinates with these stamps. Until then keep on Stampin’®

Have Scraps??? Turn them into cards!

Welcome back. This week’s main focus has been the Sweet Soir’ee designer series paper. There is so much more to share though. I have only cracked the surface of this bundles potential. Below is a photo from convention in Sale Lake City. These dies are literately to DIE for! I will be working even more with this bundle that is for sure, but for today I am sharing a card I made with the scraps from the previous 2 cards.

When working with this special paper I could not bare to throw any of it in the trash so I cut it into strips all the same length and then I glued them to a backing piece of paper the size that I wanted the paper collage to be. For my sample the base piece is 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″. Once glued I cut them in stripes again in the other direction, and this time I alternated them to form this collage. Then I adhered the pieces to a  Rich Razzleberry 4 x 4″ square. For the sentiment I used the “Window Shopping” stamp set and heat embossed it using the Versa Mark ink pad.

Mid Week CAS Card ~ Sweet Soir’ee Designer Series Paper

Today I have a Clean and Simple design that will be perfect for a mid week project. Nothing says you need a lot of time for designing. Simply grab some paper and ink and lets get started!

Taking a small scrap of this stunning paper is what inspired this card. Just think the number of cards you could make if you used small scraps like this? This is one paper pack that I will be using again and again down to the very last scrap. Check back on Friday when I show you a card using multiple scraps from this same paper line.

Here is a close up of this AMAZING paper….One side of each piece of patterned paper has metallic foil on it. It was a little tricky taking photos but hopefully you can tell what a stunning pack of DSP this is.

The full card is so easy, in yet so eye catching at the same time. Perfect for today’s Mid Week Post!

Cutting Instructions: You are 4 simple steps away from creating mid week!

1. The base card is a standard A2 size card. Simply cut your 8.5″ x 11″ piece of card stock in half vertically and scored at 5.5″. I have used Marina Mist card stock for this.

2. Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock 4″ x 5.5″ and emboss it using the Petal Pair embossing folders. This creates dimension and interest to your CAS card.

3. The small strip of .75″ x 4″ Sweet Soir’ee Designer Series Paper (DSP) was actually a small scrap of paper from this beautiful metallic paper pack. See photo to view all the patterns of this amazing paper. Stay tuned to see Friday’s card which will be using up a bunch of scraps from this paper.

4. Lastly simply stamp a greeting of your choice along the bottom of your card and it is ready to mail out!

Thank you for stopping by today. I have listed the products below for your convenience. I hope I have inspired your creativity and that you have a wonderful week. Melanie

Cake Soir’ee Bundle ~ Stampin’ Up!® Product of the Week ~ w/ Video

Welcome Back,

I have been blogging for years over on BLOGGER but I am pretty much a brand new Stampin’ Up!® blogger. I am also new to Word Press but I have to say I am enjoying the format. Last week was my first full week of blogging and I hope you have enjoyed my trio of projects I posted during “Heart Week”. Each week I am going to focus on either a theme, a product bundle or suite from the current Stampin’ Up!® catalog.

This week I will be sharing projects using the Cake Soir’ee bundle from the Stampin’ Up!® Occasions Spring Catalog. I first eyed this set because of the cake which could easily be a wedding or birthday cake. My daughter just got married on Feb. 1st. so I had no time to create a project using this set before then. This is one of the bundles that have so many possibilities. The stamps, the coordinating dies, and don’t forget the foil designer series paper. I focused on the paper in my sample below the video.

This card’s focal is spotlighting the stunning Designer Series Paper. Below are links to all the supplies used. Stay tuned for Wednesday’s Clean & Simple post to help us through the week.
