CAS Wednesday ~ Magical Mermaid!

Want to get a card complete super quick? Then check in with me each Wednesday (Hump day) for a quick and easy card that can be made in moments. We all have those days we are busy in yet we so want to be creative too. Mid week here at Melanie Stamps is the place to be. Make sure to add your email address in along the side bar so you will get a mid week reminder when the new posts are published!

This card was designed and shared with me by Michelle T. who is also a Stampin’ Up!® demonstrator. I love how she used the designer series paper to really bring this card alive. The glimmer paper is also part of this suite along with the glitter washi tape which I shared with you on Monday. Check out the tiny sea horse she stamped in the bottom right corner… So sweet! She even added a little Wink of Stella to the mermaids tail after coloring with her markers. Thank you for sharing this card with all of us Michelle.

On Friday I will be sharing a unique shaped card with all of you. See you then! Melanie

Fantasy Week Stampin’ Up!® Style

Recently I met up with a couple of online crafting friends in Mississippi (Hi Susan & Donna… miss you ladies already!!!) for a wonderful 3 day crop. My focus was mostly on Stampin’ Up!® projects and I will be sharing projects made from both the Magical Day and Sunshine and Rainbows Stamp & Die bundles. For someone who loves fantasy as well as all things colorful these were my first two sets purchased from the Spring Occasions Catalog.

With this first sample I used the awesome dies with the Sunshine & Rainbow dies to create these clouds and rainbow. I just love how simple yet unique this is. The sentiment was from the same bundle.

This second project incorporates both of the featured sets this week. Using the cloud dies I created a shaped card by trimming the upper left corner of a right opening card. Then I was able to use the rainbow dies and clouds to connect it all together. This adorable unicorn and glitter washi tape came from the Magical Day Suite of products. Don’t these set work together nicely?

Check in with me on CLS Wednesday when I share a Clean & Simple card made from the designer series paper that coordinates with these stamps. Until then keep on Stampin’®

Melanie

Happy Valentines Day ~ #PPsharethelove

Hi Friends,

Today I have a really fun post to share with all of you. My upline, Patty Bennett, did a prize patrol for her entire team during the first two weeks of the month. We were asked to make Valentine’s Cards with current Stampin’ Up!® product and MAIL THEM!!! This was an awesome goal in my mind because my big focus this year is not only make beautiful cards but SEND my cards out to others. No sense in hoarding them ya know?

So I had fun designing these cards and YES they have been MAILED and should be showing up on people’s mailboxes starting today!!!

These are almost identical. Using the Square stitched framelit on the card above and the stitched circle die set on the one below.

Stampin’ Up!® products used in these cards:

Basic Black Card Stock

Whisper White Card Stock

Tutti-Frutti 6″ x 6″ paper stack

Petal Passion 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper

Bloomin’ Love Photopolymer Stamp Set

Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies

Stitched Framelit Dies

I hope I have inspired you today. If you are liking this stamp set make sure you check out the matching die set too which was featured on Monday. CLICK HERE to see that previous post.

Stampin’ UP!® Blends Markers are HERE!

Welcome my friends,

This is my very first post to my Exclusive Stampin’ UP!® blog. I have been slowly working on this blog design for a while. A lot of you may have seen my posts over at www.fairystampland.com and may be wondering why I am starting another blog? I want to separate my design team work with non Stampin’ Up!® companies from my Stampin Up!® work. I love both but I think it gets a little confusing for the reader. So www.melaniestamps.com will be 100% Stampin’ Up!® projects, promotions, and stamping fun.

A lot of you may be joining me from my other blog where I have mostly shared my work using Copic Marker Coloring. So it excites me to no end to begin this blog introducing you to the NEW Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers.

Stampin’ Up!® has just released the first collection of markers. We have 13 color families plus the color lifter. It is recommended that you use Stampin’ Up! Thick Whisper White Card Stock when coloring with these blendable markers. Here is a video brought to you by Stampin’ Up!®

I will be sharing photo samples of my coloring soon so stay tuned. Thank you for stopping by today.
