Fun Fold Card ~ Birthday Gift Card Holder

___________________________________________

Welcome back for my third simple fold card this week. This card was saved for last in the series because it is a little bit more detailed than the previous two. I hope I can explain this project and that you will be able to create your own.

This card has two basic folds. The top “yellow” panel folds up and the “bottom” panel folds down. Then when both are opened it reveals a pocked which holds a gift card.

Cutting & Scoring Measurements:

Base Card 8 1/4″ x4 1/4″ ~ Scored at 2 3/4″ ~ Real Red

Inner Solid Card Stock 8 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ ~ Scored at 4 1/4″ ~ Daffodil Delight

Designer Series Paper  5 1/4″ x4″ ~ Red & White Patterned Paper

Designer Series Paper 2 1/2 x 4″ ~ Striped Patterned Paper

Designer Series Paper ~ 3″ x 4″ ~ Blue Polka Dot Paper

This photo above shows the top flapped lifted up (Daffodil Delight). This reveals the pocket for the gift card. It slides in where the top of the blue paper touches the yellow paper. The blue Polka Dot paper is the actual pocket. This was really hard to photograph so if you have questions please let me know

Midweek Fun Fold ~ Simple Easel Card

____________________________________

Half way through the week….Have you been following along with my weekly posts? I would love to see some of your projects.

For this second card I am going to show you how to make a super simple easel card. I have made two varieties, one with more coloring that the other. Both are really striking!

Cutting & Scoring Measurements:

Base Card is 4 1/4″ x 11″ ~ Scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″ ~ Cherry Cobbler

Front Panel Frame 3″ x 4″ ~ Cherry Cobbler

Front Panel 2 3/4″ x  3 3/4″ ~ Whisper White

Designer Series Paper 4″ x 2 1/2″ ~ Cut 2 for front sections of the card.

Inside white panel 3 3/4″ x 5″ ~ Whisper White

Bottom Inside Stripe 1 1/4″ x 3 3/4″  ~ Cut Two and glue together ~ Cherry Cobbler

Bottom Inside Stripe of Designer Series Paper 1 x 3 1/2″

The first sample I made I decided to play with the Stampin’ Blends markers. I used Light and Dark Cherry Cobbler. and colored a few of the flowers on the Designer Series Paper. This paper is GORGEOUS!!!!!!

This was my second sample… I decided not to color onto the designer series paper. Instead I colored just the little stamped flower. I like how they both turned out and at class they will have a choice of coloring them or not.

Which design do you like better??? Leave me a comment!

Simple Fun Fold Cards ~ w/ Hold on to Hope Bundle

____________________________________________

Hi Everyone,

This week I will be sharing 3 simple fun fold cards with you. I have had a lot of fun learning how to make these and am surprised how very easy they actually are.

A couple of weeks ago I shared 3 other projects using the “Hold on to Hope” stamp & die bundle from Stampin’ Up!® I will link to those three posts at the end of this post just in case you missed them.

For this first card I have is a super simple design. I will list all measurements and that way you can easily create one of your own.

Card Stock Cut and Score Measurements:

Base Card 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ ~ Scored at 3″ & 7 1/4″ ~ Elegant Eggplant

Front Panel Piece 1 (The larger one) is  2 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ ~ Perfect Plum

Front Panel Piece 2 (The smaller one) is 1″ x 5 1/4″ ~ Perfect Plum

Front Focal Piece ~ 3″ x4 1/4″ ~ Elegant Eggplant

Front Focal Piece ~ 2 7/8″ x 4 1/8″ ~ Whisper White

For the focal point I have used the Heartfelt Blooms Stamp Set along with the Hold on to Hope Bundle. I cut two of the cross dies in this set. Once with glimmer paper using the solid shaped cross die and the detailed top portion is cut from Silver Metallic Paper. It is so shinny!! Anything with blind must be good huh?

Fussy Cut Florals w/ Stampin’ Blends®

————————————————————-

I am here today with the conclusion of my Stampin’ Blends ® Week. On Monday I shared with you a Blends Coloring Video, Wednesday we took a look at a quick and easy mid week card, and today we are fussy cutting out some beautiful florals.

If these florals look familier it is because I posted them as close ups for promoting the Stampin’ Blends® back in the fall. This stamp set is named “Remarkable You”. I would recommend this set for learning how to use the Stampin’ Blends® because of the large space within the flowers.

Here you can see what the colored images were for my older post. I decided to fussy cut two of them for this project. As you can see by the Orange flower above that the edges show some “white space”. Because of this I use the Basic Black Stampin’ Write® marker around the edges. I like to do this with any fussy cutting. It just gives the images look more finished.

Fussy cutting them this gives them a little more stability as well. For the leaves above you can see where I left quite a bit of “white” along the edge. I just covered it when I went around the edges with my Basic Black Stampin’ Right Marker.

Here you can see them all finished. Don’t they look great?

Here you can see the close up of the finished project. I positioned them with leaves behind and in front of the flower. The stems all merge nicely too so you can’t really tell that they have been glued together.  TIP: If you use our Tombow Liquid Adhesive if some glue shows around the delicate leaves you can use an adhesive eraser to fix it. It is the BEST $3-$5 you will ever spend.

One last look…. This card took a little longer to complete but I think it was well worth it!

Thank you for sticking with me all week long while I shared with you my love of Stampin’ Up!®’s new Blends  Alcohol Markers. They are available now and will also be featured in the new 2018-2019 catalog which will release June 1st 2018.

Simple Wednesday ~ w/ Stampin’ Blends®

——————————————————–

Today I have a quick card for you to create. I am using the Sale A Bration Stamp Set titled “Amazing You!” It is a free stamp set with a $50 purchase from now until MARCH 31st!!!

Along with this freebie stamp set I am also using the “Celebrate You” thinlit dies. These are also a FREE item with a $100 order! (Promotion ends March 31st)

I have stamped the florals in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on THICK Whisper White card stock. This is VERY important when coloring with Alcohol based markers.

The word “Amazing” is die cut from the white card stock and the negative space is used. I simply added a layer of Basic Black card stock on the back. This allowed the negative space to be more evident because of the extra contrast.

I have used Stampin’ Blends ® markers in the following colors:

Light & Dark Bermuda Bay

Light & Dark Daffodil

Light & Dark Rich Razzleberry

If you like this weeks projects consider purchasing them together to help you reach the $150 threshold. This will help you get both sets (Stamps & Dies) FREE! Plus you would also receive FREE Stampin rewards!! Consider the Stampin’ Blends used in all 3 projects, Thick Whisper White card stock up and a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad and reinker. Plus the Bundle from Monday and the set that we will be using on Friday. Feel free to message me and let me know what you like and I can assist you as needed. I personally love coloring with Alcohol Markers and would love to teach you how to fall in love it too!

Happy Stampin’®

Stampin’ ® Blends Alcohol Markers ~ Tutorial

———————————————————-

I am excited to bring you my very first Stampin’ Blends video tutorial. The coloring we will be doing today is for these yummy flowers shown on today’s card.

Stampin’ Up!® Paper Measurements:

THICK Whisper White‘ A2 card base (4 1/4 x 11, scored in half)

Card stock in Calypso Coral  (2 3/4″ x 5 1/2″)

Green/silver foil paper from the Sweet Soiree Specialty Paper (2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″)

Rich Razzleberry card stock (3/4″ x 5 1/2″)

All supplies will be at the bottom of this blog post.

To see how I colored the flowers simply follow my step by step video tutorial above. I have included a lot of simple little tricks and given you my way of thinking as I decide on light and shadow when coloring with the Stampin’ Blend Markers ®

The sentiment along with this beautiful floral design that we color are both from the Petal Pallet Bundle shown below. I could create with this set everyday and never get board. It just gives so many possibilities.

In my heart this IS a MUST HAVE bundle. It includes 2 complete stamp sets including a really nice sentiment collection. Also don’t miss the add on dies as well. I used the sentiment window die and the “Best Wishes” sentiment from the bundle.

Here are some samples from the Stampin’ Up! ® catalog using the bundle and the other coordinating items available in the suite. I love the coordinating card stock. The samples show it also being colored with the Stampin’ Blends ®

I hope you have enjoyed today’s project and that you found the tutorial helpful. Leave me a message and let me know how you liked it.

An Amazing “Hold On To Hope” Card

———————————————————

I have to say this is my favorite Stampin’ Up!® card created thus far. I wanted to really show off the dies from the Hold On To Hope Bundle. By now you probably all realize that this is a MELANIE’s MUST HAVE product bundle.

I have a Very Vanilla card base here and I ran the front of the card base through the Big Shot using the Blossoming Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder. This is a bundle that you can get for FREE with a $100 purchase by March 31st.

Using the Painted With Love Specialty Designer Series Paper I cut a open cross from the Hold On To Hope Bundle. This paper is STUNNING! One side of each piece had gold foil and the other side is a whole other pattern without the gold foil.

Using the dies from the set I cut another open cross from Gold Glimmer Paper and inset that cut out piece into the hole from the previous cut. Then I simply cut the simple cross from the bundle to add on top. The “Amazing” Die is part of another FREE /w $100 product from the Sale A Bration Catalog. To see ALL Freebie items simply CLICK HERE! Remember the special ends March 31st.

You are amazing. Thank you for visiting my website. Add your email into the side bar if you wish to be notified when a new project is uploaded. Have an amazing weekend!

MUST SEE!!! Blossoming Basket Bundle ~ Free w/ $100 purchase

Welcome Back! I hope you have enjoyed this week focusing on my favorite SAB FREE STAMPS! This, by far, is my favorite pick from this years FREE Sale A Bration items. This is the Blossoming Basket Bundle which is FREE with a $100 purchase from any of our catalogs. It includes this beautiful basket stampo set along with a basket weave embossing folder. If submitting an order online of $150 or less feel free to use March’s hostess  code FCNV6MBW.

Here is the BUNDLE you can get FREE with a $100 purchase by the end of March 2018

Blossoming Basket Clear-Mount Bundle

and here are some samples made by Stampin’ Up!® showing off this STUNNING set!

This first card that I designed is a simple card featuring the basket floral stamp from this FREE bundle. Using it this way is so classy as well as super easy.

To jazz it up a little I have embossed the card base with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Texture Embossing folder and added a few Rhinestone Basic Gems.

Oh where do I begin? This is an all time favorite card of mine. Beginning with the base card simply run the front of the card base through the Big Shot with this bundle’s FREE Basket Weave Embossing Folder.

I used a piece of of designer paper from the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper. Here is a picture of the full paper stack… This paper has so many possibilities and there is also a Daisy Stamp Set/Punch Bundle.

From a piece of Whisper White THICK cardstock, stamp your basket image with Momento Tuxedo Black ink. These two products are recommended when using Alcohol Markers like our Stampin’ Blends ®

I have used the following Stampin’ Blends® marker sets for this project.

Calypso Coral Combo Pack

Daffodil  Delight Combo Pack

Old Olive Combo Pack

Crumb Cake Combo Pack

After coloring the image it was die cut out using the Layered Oval Framelits. For the scalloped Daffodil Delight frame in the background I simply cut a scalloped oval and cut it down the center from top to bottom.

Peeking out there on the inside is a stamped basket from Calypso Coral Ink. This finished the card nicely.
